New Entrance InstallationsIf a summit entrance is possible because of ditch grades, no charge will be made to the owner. If a new entrance is requested requiring a culvert, the owner must pay for the new pipe culvert material only, at the list (not wholesale) price currently in effect. LCHD will provide installation, backfill and one load of aggregate surfacing. Relocation of Entrance CulvertsIf an owner/tenant requests that a culvert be relocated, they will be charged for the equipment rental and labor costs incurred by LCHD in digging up, moving and backfilling the culvert in its new location. If the existing culvert is not suitable to relocate, LCHD will install a new culvert charging for the equipment rental and labor costs incurred in digging up the existing culvert and backfilling the new culvert in its new location. If the culvert being relocated is not long enough for the owner/tenant’s anticipated usage and they request additional length, they shall pay for the additional length over LCHD standard installation, i.e. length over 30' for field entrances and length over 30' for private entrances at the current list price in addition to the moving and reinstalling costs referred to above. Lengthening Existing Entrance CulvertsIf an owner/tenant requests that an existing culvert be lengthened, they shall pay for the additional length requested plus connecting band at the current list price. If the existing length of culvert is less than the standard now in effect at LCHD, i.e. less than 30' for field entrances and 30' for private entrances, they shall pay for only that length over the LCHD standard. Standards for InstallationAll sizing of culverts shall be by LCHD using existing drainage patterns and/or existing road construction plans. All entrance culverts shall be fabricated from new galvanized steel conforming to the gage requirements of the current IDOT "Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction". |
